Sasirangan

My friend (Putri Kurniati) who had just enjoy a vacation to Kalimantan
gave (I was actualy asking for :D) me Sasirangan fabric.
It's hand-dyed fabric originally made by South Borneo craftsman
which has colorful shades that give beauty to the complexion.
The word Sasirangan derives from a verb menyirang, meaning “to stitch together”.
It explains the process: stitching, binding, and dipping.
Sasirangan was believed to have special power to protect. Great!

Trying to find inspiration, what would I do with this fabric,
I made a moodboard of Ikat Indonesia which equally illustrate the beauty of Indonesia.
Did you noticed the shoe-lining? I'm a lover!
